Vlad Bogin attended medical school at Yale and Brown Universities and became an Internal Medicine resident at the University of Rochester in 1997.  At the end of his 4 years in Rochester, he was selected Chief Medical Resident at Strong Memorial.(University of Rochester) Hospital.  This medical center is one of the top 10 teaching hospitals in the US. 

Vlad moved to Longview in 2001 and has provided hospital based care for our patients since then. 

Dr. Bogin also has a second career, as a medical businessman.  He has worked in several capacities for major pharmaceutical companies on their research projects, and for the past 7 years has been President and CEO of CromosPharma, a firm that partners medical clinics and hospitals with pharmaceutical manufacturers, to create research projects.  In addition, he is founder, CEO and President of MediStem, which is a stem cell research company headquartered in San Diego.   When not travelling to meetings and conventions literally all over the world, Vlad takes care of our hospitalized patients.  He and his family reside in Longview.

Vlad has also written a book on medical education, and authored several medical journal articles and book chapters.  He also enjoys weight training and has played several sports at a high level.

.Dr. Bogin has provided care for our hospitalized patients for over 13 years, is now seeing patients in our clinic one week per month.  The rest of his time is spent on several medical businesses.  A son of the top diagnosticians in the state, Vlad has received the “FACP” designation from the American College of Physicians, the national Internal Medicine organization of 120,000 internists.  Drs. Neal and Richard Kirkpatrick, Dr. Steven Gorton and Dr. P.J. Peterson are the only prior recipients of this award in our county.  Dr.  Bogin is very adept at solving medical mysteries and providing Second Opinions.
