New programs at Kirkpatrick Family Care

• CHRONIC CARE MANAGEMENT (CCM) -This is a Medicare program that is free to most Medicare patients, and helps patients to better participate in the treatment programs for their chronic conditions.
• CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITOR TESTS -The ”C.G.M.” system measures one’s blood sugars every 15 minutes for 2 full weeks, nearly 1100 readings. 
• NIOX TEST -Nitric Oxide is exhaled when we breathe out.  High scores correlate with allergies/asthma. 
• DIABETIC EYE EXAMS -In the near future, we will be doing these exams at KFC, and sending the images to be interpreted by a board certified ophthalmologist

In memory of our much loved Dr. Neal Kirkpatrick – 1919-2017

Dr. Neal Kirkpatrick passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017. He was a founding member of Kirkpatrick Family care along with his brother Dr. Wendell Kirkpatrick., Neal retired in 2007.  Dr. Neal served as chief of medicine, medical staff president, and director of education at St. John’s during his 50-plus years on staff. He created the first Coronary Care Unit in Southwest Washington and made sure all 25 beds on the heart ward were equipped with heart monitors which saved many lives. 
Dr. Neal was also passionate about music.  He played in Longview with the Lower Columbia Symphonic Band, Southwest Washington Symphony, Northwest Wind Ensemble and numerous other groups. See more about Dr. Neal Kirkpatrick.
