Stephen is a great example of lifelong learning.  He received his first BS degree from Tufts University in Electrical Engineering (EE).  Then he earned a Masters in EE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a private research university and space-grant institution in upstate New York.

After helping design and build jet engines for Pratt&Whitney in Pittsburgh, Stephen pursued BS (Oregon State) and MS (Colorado) degrees in Environmental Engineering.

After earning 10 Information Technology certificates, managing an international IT consortium, and receiving a MBA from Willamette University, Stephen decided to become a nurse practitioner.

So he returned to school to garner AA, BSN and MSN degrees in nursing, and then his Nurse Practitioner credentials.  He continues to serve in an administrative nursing capacity at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital while working with our patients as an Adult Registered Nurse Practitioner.

Stephen and his wife, Dr. Jane Ahearn (Gynecologist) live on their farm east of Washougal.
