ARNP Leanne Williams

She worked three years on the Medical-Telemetry floor as a charge nurse. She then moved to the Intensive Care Unit, where her duties included training and precepting new ICU nurses. Leanne was also active in the hospital's glycemic control committee, looking at ways to better control blood sugars in critically ill patients.

Working as an RN made Leanne realize that she wanted to go back to school and get her Masters in Nursing (MSN). She enrolled in Washington State University's Family Nurse Practitioner program, of which she completed in 2008. While in the program, Leanne served her first rotation at Kirkpatrick Family Care under Karen Joiner, ARNP. Leanne enjoyed the family atmosphere of the clinic, and eagerly accepted a position with Kirkpatrick Family Care after becoming a registered nurse practitioner in April of 2009.

Leanne and her husband have been married for 3 years and live in Vancouver, WA, with their daughter, son and two dogs. In her spare time Leanne likes to travel, read, go on long runs and participate in her church’s activities.

In 2010 she was asked to be a Director of Nursing at Southwest Washington Medical Center, but continues to work Saturdays at our clinic.
