The Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata) is a large duck native to Mexico, Central, and South America. Its worth a small detour to ride it. It has been introduced to Britain, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, and the Falkland Islands. Another full service trailhead for the SGRT. The dam keeps going beyond that for another mile. It's so nice to ride safely without cars.

It has dark green and glossy evergreen leaves and gray shredding bark that exposes mahogany and tan sections underneath.

Brassica nigra (black mustard) is an annual, non-native weedy plant that has naturalized in southern California. We were just made aware of the closure and advised that work along the bikepath will occur until September 15th. This multi-use trail runs north-south, stretching from Azusa to Seal Beach. San Gabriel River Bike Trail - This 28-mile bikeway runs along the San Gabriel River through El Dorado Regional Park and extends to the street surface bike trail near the Alamitos Bay Marina. I still would love to start in Azusa, ride to Seal Beach & back to complete a metric Century. They have their own riding trail at the bottom of the levee, but hikers, bikers and riders all meet in the underpasses. In the fall, the leaves turn to gold and yellow before falling from the trees.

There is water in the adjacent picnic area and a restroom with water at the far side of the picnic area parking lot.
